ZERO FUCKING SPACING. Some of these lineup choices are baffling, running Okogie, Adams, Amen and an ice cold Jabari next to KD is dumb as hell, we are literally begging teams to double and triple him with zero consequences. Even Sengun has zero room to operate because we keep parking Steven and Amen in either pocket so he has to settle for floaters at the top every time.

We need Tari and DFS so bad to add some spacing and defensive identity to this roster, and we need to make smarter use more of Reed and Holiday down the stretch instead of Okogie, Amen and Steven to disincentivise teams from doubling every play.

This team definitely has a lot of issues and are just a very clunky fit. On the other hand, I can kinda see where the “Efficiency Man” name comes from when KD could have been more aggressive, defensive attention aside.

Though Udoka not using his last regulation timeout to draw something up is annoying. Use it or lose it. And the double big feels like it’s been adjusted a degree with how tough it can be for our interior guys to score at times when KD passes. Like Reed struggles on defense but at least he opens up the spacing, and Holiday is an alternative. What is defense with no offense? And even on defense Jabari gets targeted quite a bit.

Credit to the Pelicans though. Saddiq Bey I have to apologize.
